Acacia melanoxylon Blackwood

A medium to large acacia native to eastern Australia, Blackwood grows from coastal areas to mountain creeks. Blackwood prefers damp conditions, making it ideal for planting along creeks and gullys, and south facing aspects. When the seed is shed, it attracts native birdlife who feed on the seed.
