Eucalyptus melliodora Yellow Box

Eucalyptus melliodora, commonly known as Yellow Box, is a medium to tall tree native to south-eastern Australia, including Victoria. It features rough, fibrous bark on the lower trunk and smooth, pale grey to yellowish bark above. The adult leaves are lance-shaped and dull green, with white flowers appearing mainly from September to March. This species is a significant source of high-quality honey and provides durable timber. It thrives in grassy woodlands and open forests, contributing to biodiversity and soil stability.
